Working in a professional glass studio, students create fused glass pendants, earrings and pins in this introductory workshop while learning to exploit the transparency, depth, and sparkle of glass. Students will learn the techniques of layering colored glass, using dichroic coatings, shaping blanks with saws and grinders, and using multiple firings to create a professional look. Basic jewelry construction techniques will also be covered.
No prior experience is required.
