Fusing for Contemporary Glass Jewelry

Working in a professional glass studio, students create fused glass pendants, earrings, and pins in this introductory workshop while learning to exploit the transparency, depth, and sparkle of glass.

Students will learn the techniques of layering colored glass, using dichroic coatings, shaping blanks with saws and grinders, and using multiple firings to create a professional look on the finished pieces. 

Discussions will include setting up a basic home studio for small scale jewelry fusing and coldworking.  Beginner level.
