Freeform Wire Wrapped Pendant, Hand Forged Collar, and Earrings! Saturday and Sunday, April 18th & 19th, 2009 Tuition $310 Deposit $150 In the first day of this two-day workshop, designed for the student with basic wire experience, we will make a stunning necklace in sterling silver with a large focal bead. We will use wire wrapping techniques to coil and spiral wire around a focal lampworked bead, making a pendant which will fit on a silver collar. We will also create a hand-forged sterling collar to which the pendant may be attached, learning how to size and shape the collar using a metal form.
Please note: Your focal bead must have a hole large enough to accommodate 16 gauge wire. Small lampworked beads work best for the earring projects. Original lampworked beads will be available for purchase for the projects, or bring your own! Come prepared to have fun! Intermediate level. |
