In this four-day workshop, students will explore a variety of thoughtful techniques to create kiln-formed components that will be used to convey the essence of the environment around them. Students will be exposed to a body of techniques designed to soften and ease the edge, blur the line, and convey a sense of natural beauty while respecting the natural properties of glass -- transparency and translucency.

Design components will be kiln-fired, then manipulated using both hot and cold techniques and selectively combined in the projects. For the student with a knowledge of fusing who is interested in exploring advanced techniques in the medium. Advanced level.
