Jackie Greeves, Independent Artist and Fine Craft Instructor

10am to 4pm

Tuition $150

Electroforming is the process of electrodepositing copper onto a metal or metalized surface.

Add another dimension to your lampworked beads and glass jewelry with electroformed elements! In this one-day class you will be introduced to the steps for successful electroforming. You will learn how to create copper bezels around glass cabochons, how to embellish lampworked beads with copper, and how to synthesize copper onto dried organic (such as leaves and acorn caps) and non-organic (small plastic objects) materials to make unique bead caps and other embellishments right on your glass.  All the basic steps for successful electroforming will be covered, and each student will have the opportunity to make several small projects and observe the electroforming process. Beginning level.

Please note: Because of the nature of the electroforming process, each student’s work will need to be picked up after class.
