We are delighted to have Tanya Veit back at Vitrum Studio with another EXTREME workshop on fusing. This time it is a full 3 days long and packed with new information and techniques that Tanya has dreamt up, developed and is ready to share.

This workshop focuses less on dichroic glass and more on the artistic side of fused glass jewelry, and the many techniques that can be used to make your glass pieces really unique.  Techniques include:

5 x7 scenic frit panel, which is just a warm – up exercise!

How to work vertically with frits to create a unique jewelry bar. Just wait until you see this set up!

How to use glasses that react chemically with each other to create a jewelry piece that is then set in silver.

NEW Engraving technique! How to transfer an image to the glass surface, then engrave the details to create a unique piece.

How to create and use surface tension in powders – a fabulous new approach to visual texture in jewelry.

How to create REAL donut pendants without using molds

How you can use the Zentangle method of creating repetitive patterns to create a glass tile top for a tiny box to hold your dreams and secrets in.

... and of course... how to use coldworking techniques to create a professional appearance to your work.

Very few studios are able to host a workshop such as this that requires ample space, materials and enough specialty equipment for multiple complex projects. For those of you who know Tanya, this is going to be one heck of a fusing ride!
