New Bullseye Colors
and Products for 2009
The Bullseye Chemists have outdone themselves this year, with two new experimental reactive colors, and an ethereal opaline white that layers beautifuly. Several colors from the history books have also been brought back. We have many samples made with the new glasses, all designed to inform and inspire. For those who like a little sparkle, there is a deep and dark aventurine blue.
A style long available to only one artist, iridized black chopstix on clear, is a perfect starting point for striking glass serving ware. Vitrum's own special production glass, Cool Breeze 002416, has been made a permanent member of their catalogue of colors.

Bullseye Frit Now Available in 5 ounce Jars
Try more colors and spend less
|
As a Bullseye Preferred Kilnglass Resource Center, we are excited to be the first in our region to offer Bullseye frits in new 5 ounce jars. They are available in many popular frit colors, and come in coarse, medium, fine, and powder mesh sizes. Prices start at $6.15 per jar.
The smaller, more convenient size allows the kilnformer to purchase a wider variety of colors for a smaller investment, and these cute little jars will take up less space. Perfect for when you're most interested in testing out an new color, or just need a little frit for that out-of-the-ordinary project. This is also the ideal size for torchworkers and glass jewelry designers.

New Tools
A recent class with one of Bullseye Glass's exceptional teachers, Bonnie Celeste, introduced us to several new tools to make the kilnformer's life just a little easier. A good quality yet inexpensive stainless steel masher that is perfect for creating intriguing forms at the torch. A graphite pad helps keep your lampwork elements clean, and your work surface cool. Bonnie also brought along beautiful new running pliers with pivoting jaws, ideal for thicker glass and prefused blanks.
This new running plier has an adjustable rotating jaw, that allows running of score from interior of glass. Indispensable for inside curves and thin strips. Lightweight but strong aluminum is very comfortable in the hand.

Although not a traditional retail store, Vitrum Studio carries the area's largest assortment of Bullseye fusible glass, stringers, confetti, frits and powders, as well as a wide assortment of kilns, molds, metals, enamels and supplies related to glass fusing, casting, and torchworking.
We carry Bullseye Tested Compatible glass in three sizes:- full sheet (20" x 35"), half sheets (17"x 20") and 10" x 10"s. Because our glass selection is limited to fusible glass, we are able to offer an amazing depth and large assortment of Bullseye Compatible glass, molds and accessory glasses.
We import our own Japanese gold and silver foil - in large 8" x 8" sheets and thick gauges.
- We carry fusible dichroic from several manufacturers, in a wide variety of colors, patterns, textures and waterjet-cut shapes.
- We carry the full line of Bullseye slumping molds, and molds from other selected manufacturers and are distributors for the fine line of Paragon Kilns and keep many kilns in stock.
- We carry books and magazines on all aspects of kilnformed glass, and on glass beadmaking.

Kilns! Kilns! Kilns!
We are distributors for the full line of Paragon kilns and use more than 20 Paragon kilns daily in the operations of Vitrum Studio. We offer attractive pricing, excellent customer service and follow-through, and a commitment to matching the right person to the right kiln.
We are often asked why we don't offer a class in Kiln Maintenance and Firing Schedules. Well, we don't offer that class because we provide that information free to any and all who purchase a kiln from us. We believe that a kiln purchase is a major investment, and we want everyone to be happy with that investment.
What is the right kiln for you? Let us help you find out.
